Upon returning from serving in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, Maury Kobrin put his new found interest in wine to good use by starting a small wine and liquor store in downtown Binghamton. In 1950, he moved his business to 64 Leroy Street and renamed it the Leroy Package Store.
Over the years the store thrived and was expanded on two occasions. Upon Maury’s passing in 1988, the business was carried on by his wife, Dorothy, and today is run by his son, Paul. We very much appreciate the bonds we have formed with our customers, many of whom have patronized the store for decades.
We strive to serve our customers to the best of our ability. Please allow our knowledgeable, courteous and helpful staff to assist you in selecting the bottle that best suits your needs.
